At last fans of American idol season 6’s runner up, may I present you with the first single of blake lewis, Break Anotha !!

This song is taken from Blake’s album, A.D.D. (Audio Day dream). The song was aired on radio on october 30. Thus, released officially on November 20. While the album itself hit stores on  December 4, 2007.

Blake describes his song as funk/soul-inspired and is influenced by certain musicians suh as  Michael Jackson, James Brown, and Curtis Mayfield. However, critics also state that this song is ‘very Justin Timberlake’ as they believe that it is targeted for Justin’s fans out there.

Personally, I think this song is nice because Blake gives his own unique character (we could never forget his beatbox couldn’t we?) in this song. Anyway, I have to agree with those critics, because I can’t help to think about Justin Timberlake when I listen to this song. Anyway, It’s still a nice song If you are getting bored with Rihanna’s umbrella. 

This single has been downloaded 11.000 times on its first week and reached 17.000 as today. It also appeared on Billboard pop100 at 85#
